Okay, I've been gone on vacation for the last week, so here is a brief rundown of what all has been going on..

Eric and I left Tuesday for the cabin at Salt Plains with another couple who we are great friends with, Tim and Amber. From Tuesday through Friday we pretty much just took it easy. We hung out at the cabin, cooked over a huge campfire, okay, bonfire, lol. The boys did some fishing and ended up catching a pelican! Shocked Haha, you should have seen them trying to reel that thing in! And of course, both the other girl and myself forgot our cameras. lol On Thursday we drove up to Alabaster Caverns and took a tour through them. We called beforehand to see if that was okay. Tim said "We have a woman with us who is 8 months pregnant..." I felt like a hitchhiker they picked up on the way there! lol The guy said that pregnant women went through all the time and it didn't get very deep, but that there were 350 steps going through it and it took about an hour.. Shocked Well, the boys wanted to go, so we went. It really wasn't that bad, I had a great time, but boy was I worn out!

Friday afternoon we got home and I found out that while we were gone (we didn't have cell phone reception where we were..) my mom had put our dogs in the backyard for a couple hours on Wednesday and when she went to my house to put them back inside, our little brown dog, Java, was missing. She finally found her under a bush in our neighbor's backyard. She had been hit by a car. She took her to the vet and found out that she has broken bones in her left foot and ankle, and her right foot is completely mutilated. She will most likely lose toes on that foot. She also has a bad gash on the inside of her right leg. Luckily though, the car didn't hit her back or pelvis, so she doesn't have any life threatening injuries. She has both of her back legs in splints and wrapped in gauze, which she has lately been wanting to chew off, so she had to come to work with me today and yesterday so I could watch her and keep her from chewing her bandages off.

So Eric and I decided to stay home the rest of the weekend to take care of her instead of going on to the lake like we had planned. We did a lot of stuff around the house to continue getting ready for Jeslynn to get here.

I'm starting to get really uncomfortable. I told Eric last night, while crying mind you, that I really didn't want to be pregnant anymore. He said "That's the saddest thing I've ever heard you say.." I felt bad for feeling that way, but I'm just so worn out. I'm telling you, it's like Chinese Water Torture. It's not that any one thing is so terrible, it's just constant. You can't take a 5 minute break from being pregnant, which is sometimes all you want/need. The thing that got to me last night was that she had the hiccups for an hour straight! I just wanted to scream at my belly for them to stop, but I couldn't do anything to make the thumping stop. Every 4-5 seconds, Thump, Thump, Thump. And I was also getting some pretty strong and painful contractions, but they weren't regular or timeable, so it's just like a big tease. I'm so ready for the moment when I can say "Take me to the hospital, I'm having this baby today!" I hope she comes early like I think she will, or I just may lose my mind.

Monday we went and had our maternity pictures taken. They turned out great and I can't wait to get them back. I got a disk with them, so I will be able to post them. After we finished Eric leaned down to my belly and said, "Okay, you can come out now!" lol I'll post some of them here... Along with some pics of Java and her wounds.

Java on my mom's lap:

And some of the maternity pics we had done. The one of our hands on my belly in black and white with the pink bow is my favorite. It took me forever to do that. No, really, I did it in my Windows Paint program, and it took me about an hour before I got it just the way I wanted it.

And then today's belly pics and my progression shot:

So there you have it kids. My update for today, and probably for the week. I have another dr appointment on Friday, and then I'll be going once a week until Jeslynn gets here. I hope you all have a wonderful time until I talk to you again! God Bless and BOOMER SOONER!!!
